Lavinia Franco

I am a PhD Candidate in Finance at Bayes Business School (formerly Cass), City, University of London and I recently visited the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence.

My research focuses on fintech, banks and nonbanks, with a focus on how technological changes might influence macro and policy developments.  

In the summer of 2022, I worked as an intern in the Western Hemisphere Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Previously, I visited the Monetary and Economic Department of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), the Research Department of the European Central Bank (ECB) and the Supervision Department of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA).
